Vehicle stolen, Greenville man arrested

A Greenville man was arrested July 3 for the theft of an acquaintance’s vehicle, said Major Kenneth Watson of the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office.absolutely

The car was reported stolen from a residence on Tyler Stree in Washington at 6 a.m. While Cpl. Thomas Salinas was responding to the call, he saw the vehicle in question and made a traffic stop, according to a press release.

Todd Jacob Burrus, 29, of Allison Road, Greenville, was arrested and charged with larceny of a motor vehicle, driving with a revoked license and possession of an open container.

Burrus had been at the car owner’s residence and took the car when the owner went to bed, said Watson.
