- Stacia Abbe’s pre-kindergarten class at S.W. Snowden had the opportunity to tell “Smokey the Bear” and “Ranger Rick” what they learned about fire safety. The week of Oct. 8 was spent learning about fire safety in the forest and at home. The students have practiced fire procedures such as “stop, drop and roll,” emergency exit plans and how to call for help in case of an emergency or fire.
