High school football games to be played

Threats of heavy rain have not washed out the area football schedule as Washington’s road contest with West Carteret will still be played tonight at 7 p.m., as will Southside’s game at Northside (6:30 p.m.), South Creek’s contest at Riverside (7:30 p.m.) and Plymouth’s game at Perquimans (7:30 p.m.).
