- Tom Garrison, chef at On the Waterfront in downtown Washington, recently demonstrated cutting and cooking techniques to Elaine Roberson’s and Yolanda Collins’ Foods I classes at Washington High School. The students were in for a treat because they got to sample the items he made. He treated them to fruit salsa, poached salmon and chicken-and-vegetable stir-fry. It was a huge success and the students thought the food was delicious. They also want him to return and give another demonstration. (Submitted Photo/Beaufort County Schools)
