After diligent research and discussion, Joshua Singleton, agriculture teacher at Southside High School, and some of his agricultural students have written a successful Bright Ideas grant to more fully integrate technology into the Horticulture II honors classes. This grant, Becoming a Pro Landscape, will involve the use of an Ipad and PRO Landscape Version 18 software. Using this hardware and software will allow students to develop skills in landscaping, time management, public speaking and leadership. With the use of this software and hardware, a capstone project learning experience will evolve and allow students to utilize their knowledge of horticultural principles, plant variety knowledge, and individual creativity to bring together a final project.
