Marijuana bust in Washington

Several charges were levied against a Washington man Jan. 23, including a charge of resist, obstruct or delay a public office.

Officers with the Washington Police Department arrested Damantae Marquez Moore, 18, of Maple Street in Washington. Moore is charged with two counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver marijuana, possession of a firearm by a felon and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia on top of the obstruction charges. He was held at the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $15,000 bond.

Lt. William Chrismon, Washington Police spokesman, said Moore was arrested with nine grams of marijuana on him.
