Megan Price, a public health education specialist with the Beaufort County Health Department, recently presented two programs for Bath Elementary School students in kindergarten through third grade. The program, titled “MyPlate Project,” focused on healthful eating and learning how to create a healthful, nutritious meal using the colorful-sectioned plate. Each student received a special plate to take home. A DVD highlighting the goals and objectives of the “MyPlate” project was donated to the school’s media
center. This presentation was co-sponsored by the Beaufort County Health Department and a grant from Vidant Health Care.
