Hard wind causes low tide

A hard west wind blew water from the Pamlico River and its many tributaries on Wednesday.  Above is the public boat ramp on Runyon Creek, with its floating dock sitting on the creek bed. The same wind that emptied entire creeks of water caused flooding in many areas on the Pamlico Soundside of the Outer Banks.
