Richardson belts grand slam

Billy Richardson will remember his first professional home run for a long time to come.

The former East Carolina University standout, drafted by the San Diego Padres, collected his first home run as a pro in grand style. The shortstop for the Eugene Emeralds blasted a grand slam in a 7-3 win over Boise in Wednesday's Minor League Baseball action.

Richardson's slam sailed over the left field fence in the fifth inning, highlighting a five-run outburst for the Emeralds.

Richardson has a home run, five RBIs and is batting .207 with the Emeralds.
